While swimming and most normal beach activities may not be the best thing to do at Kelanang beach with the excep- tion of picnicking and camping, Kelanang Beach is a good spot for beach fishing especially beach casting or surfcasting. This beach is away from the main beach. About some 3 minutes’ drive further in after the main picnic beach. This area is said to be a “Grade A” fishing beach with good table fishes. The main beach itself is sandy with awesome shades from trees such as casuarina trees. There is a children’s playground by the beach where children to go let out some of the surplus energy while the anglers of the family, cast their lines into the sea in hopes of catching something for the camera and per- haps also for the table.
