Back in the day I spent hours casting at the parking lot of my office. When it rains I would be casting into puddles. when it did not rain, I would be casting into a pail or a bucket. To the folks working in neighbouring offices; I must have looked like a lunatic hoping to catch a fish at the office parking lot. Once in a while someone would ask if I caught anything yet and I would say something like “yup, dinner is available today” or “no luck yet.”

Let’s also remember that the Abu Garcia Black Max first came out as a round baitcasting reel or conventional baitcasting reel. But in its low profile form the Black Max is has come to its fourth generation JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) form and is looking even sportier.

Being called a Black Max, the Abu Garcia Black Max 4 (JDM) low profile baitcasting reel comes in a matte black frame with glossy black side plates. It also comes with a black handle and black rubber grips. The metallic red spool, spool control knob, etc. breaks the monotony of the black colours adding contrast, giving it its awesome sporty and elegant look.

This new one is more slim-lined and fits snuggly in my hands allowing for hours of comfortable fishing.
