A Beach In Selangor To Fish At

So, you are in Selangor now and your choices of beaches to head to are not as awesome as those on the East Coast. You are also not prepared or willing to cross state lines perhaps due to safety reasons, and you are itching to take your family to a beach where you can do some fishing while they have a picnic. Good news is that while Selangor does not have awesome beaches as those on the East Coast; we do have beaches to picnic at.

While most folks in Selangor would have heard of Morib beach and the Sepang Gold Coast beach, I believe most would not have heard of Kelanang beach in Banting. Kelanag beach is a lesser known beach, but an awesome beach to fish at and picnic at. However, it is not the best beach for swimming and may be a bit of a frustration to children. Why? Kelanang beach is great for a picnic and to do some fishing.
While swimming and most normal beach activities may not be the best thing to do at Kelanang beach, with the exception of picnicking and camping; Kelanang Beach is a good spot for beach fishing especially beach casting or surfcasting. This fishing beach is away from the main beach. About some 3 minutes’ drive further in after the main picnic beach. This area is said to be a “Grade A” fishing beach with good table fishes.
The main beach itself is sandy with awesome shades from trees such as casuarina trees. There is a children’s playground by the beach where children can go to, to let out some of the surplus energy, while the anglers of the family, cast their lines into the sea in hopes of catching something for the camera and perhaps also for the table.
