Ok, you have been following this series closely. You now know so many reasons why you did not catch any fish on some of your fishing trips with some of your tackle that seems to be unlucky. You also now know why despite tying your lucky underwear on your fishing rod while you wear your friends lucky undies, you still did not catch any fish with the above mentioned unlucky tackle.
[ We have consulted the shamans of so many realms… ]
But what if you have tried all that we have said, took the risk to cheekily go do some fishing while the authorities say that you are not allowed to (while they seem to be able to do all that they say not to do), and despite doing all that we have recommended; did nothing more but to drown your baits turning them from their original colours into a pale whitish hew.
Sigh, quiet, quiet, quiet.
Perhaps now you are at a place where you really want to find out if your fishing tackle is indeed cursed; just to be sure. Perhaps you would also like to know what to do if the said fishing tackle is indeed cursed. Worry not. We have consulted the shamans of so many realms and these here are some of the things you can do.
“Guaranteed To Catch” Fishing Spot
The first thing to do is to locate a pond that has plenty of fish. A good one will be a pond that your friends go to and they always catch lots of fish. Next match the line, hook, and sinker (also all other terminal tackle) with the ones that your friend uses (get new in case the ones you have have pollutants or fish scaring chemicals on them). Ensure the rod poundage is suitable for the pond that you are about to go fish at.
Yes, fish on.
With all that done, put on your lucky underwear and head out to the said pond together with your friend. Remember to use the same bait and fish the same area that your friend fishes when you are there. If despite all these and you still do not catch anything whilst your friend pulls up one fish after another; your fishing tackle can then be classified as cursed with bad luck.
To ensure that your tackle is really cursed, change tackle with your friend too. Use your friend’s setup and have him or her use yours. If you catch fish on your friend’s tackle and your friend catches fish on your; maybe it’s time to get a new lucky underwear. Just switch tackles again to see if you start catching fish. Your friend could have broken the curse for you.
Yay, fish caught.
If you do not catch fish on your friend’s tackle and your friend catches plenty of fish with your tackle, perhaps it is you, or again the lucky underwear that has ran out of luck. Switch again to see if you start catching fish on your tackle. If you don’t then you know that it is not your tackle. Time to ponder than on what to do. ore on that later.
But if you switch tackles and you start catching plenty of fish while your friend is sitting there looking bored and is pestering you to switch tackles again; you then know that your fishing tackle is indeed cursed. Again what to o if this is the case? A few things come to mind. Of course we highly recommend that you persist on with your journey to break the curse and catch fish with it. But here are some recommendations…
A flower bath for you unlucky tackle.
Mandi Bunga (Cleansing Floral Bath)
Get yourself seven types of flowers and kaffir lime. Put them in a bathtub and go soak in it. Do the same for you fishing tackle too. Okay, we are pulling your leg a little. But if you think that giving yourself and your fishing tackle a cleansing floral bath will help, by all means do so. It will do you some good.
Give It Away
Perhaps a better thing to do is to give it to someone who will put it to good use. Maybe that someone catches plenty of fish with it. Giving it away also makes space for a new setup; perhaps a lucky one. You get peace of mind, did some charity, made someone happy, and got rid of a tackle that has been bugging you for some time.
Don’t Give Up
Yes, don’t give up on your tackle. If the lucky underwear did not work, perhaps a rabbit’s foot may work. Or you could bring a long a horseshoe to add to the luck…haha. Well, just try and try and try. One day, the curse on your tackle will break and that is when you start catching plenty of fish with it. Perseverance is key.
Give up not and you shall catch fish.
