Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag 2
By: The Angler
As an avid angler and traveller I carry lots of stuffs with me on the road. On fishing trips I carry not only my fishing gear but also my cameras, mobile phones, emergency kit (first aid kit), medications, a normal pair of prescription sunglasses, a pair of prescription sunglasses, etc. One of the bags I carry with me is the Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag 2. From here on I shall just call it Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag.
[ I climbed down and picked it up from the stony red ground, worried more about my camera lens than my phone…. ]
It is one tough and durable bag. I have taken it on rough terrains, on boats, etc. Not only is it tough. It also keeps my possessions safe. On one of camping trips the Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag took a fall down an almost 90 degrees vertical cliff with one of my lenses and phones inside. I wore it like a pouch but took it off to climb this little cliff. The drop wasn’t that high (about 6 metres).
Plenty of space for all kinds of things that you bring with you on fishing trips.
I climbed down and picked it up from the stony red ground, worried more about my camera lens than my phone. I was darn sure that my lens would have been broken by the fall. To my surprise it was intact and worked absolutely fine. My mobile phone was fine too (it did have full protection casing on). From that day my Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag became my go to bag.
The other thing I love about the Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag is the rain cover. I used to carry a black garbage bag in a previous pouch that I used to carry. With this hip bag, I no longer do so as it comes with its own rain cover. This too I has used very often keeping my phones, lenses, passport, etc. safe from getting wet.
Rain? No worries. A waterproof cover comes with the hip bag.
Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag comes with plenty of padding to keep things inside safe. The padding is quite thick too. It also comes with an insulated can drink holder to keep canned drinks cold or warm. Another great thing is that the pockets or compartments that are water resistant. They come with water resistant zippers too that keep water out.
Another handy thing that is often taken for granted are the rings available that allows one to hang things on such as flashlights, knives, pliers, hook removers, and in my case; lens case, filter cases, etc. All you need are carabineers to attach them to these places. I have also hung spoons, and spinners on them as I tie knots.
This Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag 2 will certainly be a superb companion on trips. Oh yes, there is one more thing that I have used it for. On a few occasion it gave comfort to my head as I used it as a pillow. Being padded, the Abu Garcia Large Camo Hip Bag 2 acts as a superb barrier from the hard surface as well as some of the things inside. This certainly is an awesome bag to have.
